A current wait tells you what one attraction is reporting at a particular time. A crowd estimate describes expected queue pressure across a park day. They can differ without either number describing the whole visitor experience.

One ride can change quickly

A breakdown, reopening or change in loading capacity can change a ride’s queue. The wait at that attraction may move even when the number of visitors in the park has barely changed.

Missing data is not a zero-minute wait

Our snapshot includes operating attractions that report a numeric standby wait. A missing value or closed ride is excluded. A reported zero is retained. This prevents unavailable records from making the park look artificially quiet.

The historical index uses a consistent sample

The short-range model uses completed-day records across a qualifying attraction basket. The current snapshot can include a different set of rides. Comparing the two medians directly can therefore be misleading.

Check the timestamp

The retrieval time shows when the response was collected. A ride’s last-changed time is a different timestamp. Old snapshots are hidden after 24 hours, and a failed refresh keeps the existing data labeled.

For the queue you are about to join, check the official Disneyland app and information at the attraction. For the calculation details, see our method.
